Kicking-off an exciting BIG “data” year with the Boulder BI Brain Trust

I am so much excited to the work and activities which I am planning to do this year about big data, business intelligence, and analytics.

   One of my favorite BI and Big Data activities of the year is the Boulder BI Brain Trust or the BBBT sessions.

As you know, I am a member of the Boulder BI Brain Trust which is founded and led by the internationally recognized BI authority Dr. Claudia Imhoff. I believe in BBBT’s mission which aims at benefiting the Business Intelligence and big data industry by providing pro bono exchange of information between vendors and member analysts/consultants on new trends and technologies and also by providing vendors with constructive feedback on their offerings, marketing messages, roadmaps, etc.

This year will be my 2nd year with the BBBT and I am planning to do my best in publishing a series of blog posts following the BBBT sessions. Last year, we hosted several vendors including: Datameer, Greenplum, Denodo, Kognitio, ParAccel, Talend, Alteryx, MicroStrategy,     GoodData, Teradata Aster, Yellowfin, altosoft, WhereScape, SAP, Pentaho, Infobright, IBM, HP, TIBCO Spotfire, QlikTech, Oracle Endeca, Alpine Data Labs, Quest Software, Pervasive Software, Gnip, Predixion Software, Revolution Analytics, and Composite Software. Our first BBBT will start today with Composite software so you can expect a lot of interesting chat about data virtualization and big data analytics.
