As the Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX) Dubai 2013 is set to kick-off in few days, I am glad to share with my blog readers that I will be speaking this year in the new Big Data Conference which will held at the exhibition.

I will be panelist in “Privacy, Security and Compliance: Are they stumbling blocks to Big Data?” in Oct 22 at 16:00 in Dubai, UAE. The panelists include Ahmed Baig, Head of Architectures and Enterprise, Emerging Markets at Cisco,  Saleem Adam Head of Information Security and Compliance at Dubai World Trade Centre,  Saleem Adam Partner at Trowers & Hamlins’ Abu Dhabi, Maher Shirah Strategy Excellence Manager at Roads & Transport Authority (RTA). The conference also include speakers from Gartner, SAP, and Accenture.

Last year‘s GITEX brought together 138,000 information, technology, and communications professionals from 144 countries. This represents 3,500 companies from over 80% of the top ICT brands in the world.

I look forward to meet big data enthusiasts at GITEX this year. Also, if you are in Dubai, you can drop me a line in here to start the big data discussion from now!

You can also follow me on Twitter for updates during the conference…

See you soon!

Ali.
