Children Online Safety at ConnectIT
Reading Time: 1 minute I seized the opportunity to raise awareness on Family Online Safety at the ConnectIT event at the Headquarters of the General Secretariat of Catholic Schools in Lebanon (SGEC-L), Beit Mery – from November 9 to 13, 2010.
During the five days event our team drove forward family online safety topics and introduced risks by interaction and technology to educators and students.
In brief, the sessions highlighted the risks affecting children-risks by interaction such as cyberbullying,invasion of privacy, file-share abuse, sexting in addition to the risks by technology, like Spams, Trojans,phishing,and hoaxing.
The sessions concluded with a comprehensive insight on the methods and tools that can help users have a safe and responsible online experience.
